If you want to add a Huawei OLT in Xelynx, then follow the following steps:
In this step, you need to provide a name for your OLT and choose your Huwawei OLT model
OLT Name: It can be any friendly name for your Huwawei OLT. Your OLT name will be used throught Xelynx when displaying any information about it.
OLT Model: Select your OLT model. We do sync the model during Sync process and even if you select it wrong here, it will be fixed during sync automatically.
In this step, you are asked to allow access between Xelynx and your OLT.
Firewall rules We provide a script for Mikrotik and you just need to run these commands in Mikrotik terminal to allow acess. In case you have a different router, make sure you allow access between your OLT and Xelynx.
Port forwarding: In almost all cases, OLT is given a private IP address. To allow access to Telnet and SNMP ports, you will need to do port forwarding (dst-nat). We provide a tool to generate a script for Mikrotik where you can specify your details and a script will be generated and you just need to run that in Mikrotik.
In this step, you need to provide details sor Xelynx to access your OLT
OLT IP: This will be public IP from where OLT can be access. This is usually the IP of your router where you have done port forwarding.
Telnet Port: This is the telnet port forwarded from your router to the OLT. If you have run the scripts generated in previous step then you can just use the mapped port against the normal telnet port 23.
OLT Telnet username: You need to provide OLT login username. If you have followed the initial setup guide then this should be xelynxoltuser. You can create any user on OLT and put it here. Xelynx does not allow use of root user.
OLT Telnet password: You need to provide OLT login password you have used when creating the user.
OLT read-only community: Xelynx will create this SNMP read-only community. It can be any name but you can leave it as it is.
OLT read-write community: Xelynx will create this SNMP read-write community. It can be any name but you can leave it as it is.
OLT SNMP Port: This is the SNMP UDP port forwarded from your router to the OLT. If you have run the scripts generated in previous step then you can just use the mapped port against the normal SNMP port 161.
All the values are checked in this step and once verified, you will be able to proceed to next step.
In this step, Xelynx will get all the details from OLT and sync Xelyn with your OLT.
Details are sync'd in groups and sync status is shown during this step.
In this step you will create a VPN client on router. Mikrotik script is given which you just need to run and everything is taken care of. VPN status will show if its been connected after the script is run.
This step is important if you want to have detailed view and analysis of your network. All the information for Tr069, Alarms, Latency and other stuff are accessed via a VPN.
Devices will sync in the background and a progress bar will be displayed at the bottom of each page.
