Event notifications

Event notifications send a message automatically whenever something happens in the system — a new invoice, a received payment, a suspended service. They are configured on the Notifications > Event Notifications page and flow through the same hub and templates as manual notifications.

The events page

Notifications > Event Notifications ("Configure automatic notifications triggered by system events") lists each event as a row with its name, a description, channel pills showing which of In-App, Email and WhatsApp are enabled, a Configure button and a master on/off toggle. The toggle only turns the whole event on or off; it never changes channel selection.

Available events

Events are grouped by category. Billing covers Invoice Generated, Invoice Due Reminder, Invoice Overdue and Payment Received. Service covers Service Activated, Service Suspended, Service Restored, Service Expiring, Service Expired and Plan Changed. Onboarding has Welcome and Credentials Sent. Support has Ticket Created, Ticket Reply and Ticket Resolved. Network has Customer Offline, Device Offline and Device Online.

Configuring an event

Configure opens the per-channel editor. Each channel — Email, WhatsApp, In-App — has an Enable this channel for this event checkbox and its own content: Email gets a subject and rich-HTML body, In-App gets a message, and WhatsApp maps an approved template's numbered parameters to hub variables. A channel whose transport isn't configured can't be enabled until you set it up. A channel actually sends only when the event is enabled and that channel is enabled here.

Reseller events

One event, Reseller Suspension Warning, is aimed at resellers rather than customers: it warns a reseller before month-end when their projected monthly cost will exceed their balance, on a default cadence of 7, 3 and 1 days before month-end (editable in the event's frequency settings).

Note: individual customers can override any event on their profile's Notifications tab, choosing Auto (follow the account setting), On (always send) or Off (never send) per channel.
