NMS settings

The System config page is the central place for global NMS preferences and integrations. Here you tune the thresholds that drive signal, temperature and capacity warnings, set up the email and alarm-notification channels, and check that your management IPs and TR069 service are healthy. Changes take effect immediately across the dashboard, alarms and capacity views.

Alarm & Monitoring Thresholds

These values decide when the NMS flags a warning or a critical condition. Set them to match your network, then click Save thresholds:

  • ONU signal — warning / critical (dBm): the RX levels at which an ONU's signal is treated as degraded or bad.
  • OLT temperature — warning / critical (°C): the OLT card temperatures that raise a warning or critical alert.
  • Optical margin alert (± dB): how far a measured ONU RX may drift from its expected value before the PON tracer flags a potential fiber issue.
  • Splitter / PON oversubscription warning (%): the fill level at which a PON port is flagged in Capacity.
  • Max ONUs per PON port: the planned maximum used to calculate capacity fill.

Email (SMTP)

The Email (SMTP) section holds the server used to send alarm emails — host, port, encryption, username, password and the from address. These settings are shared with the CRM, so changing them here updates the CRM too. Click Save email settings to apply.

Alarm Notifications

This section controls who gets notified for critical and emergency alarms sent from the Alarm Console's Notify button. Turn Enable notifications on, then enter Email recipients and WhatsApp recipients and pick an approved WhatsApp template. Email uses the SMTP settings above; WhatsApp uses your CRM's Meta credentials. Click Save notification settings to apply.

Sign-in & time zone

The top of the page carries the Sign-in Method controls for your account and the Time Zone setting used for timestamps throughout the NMS.

Management IPs & TR069 health

Two status panels help you keep provisioning healthy. Device's Management IPs reports whether your management IP pools are in good shape or need attention, and Device's Tr069 Profiles reports on the TR069 service and the profiles configured on your devices, flagging anything that needs a look.

Note: the thresholds set here are applied live — the dashboard, Alarms, Capacity and the PON tracer all read from them, so a change is reflected as soon as you save.
