WhatsApp

Xelynx connects to the WhatsApp Business Cloud API so you can message customers directly and use WhatsApp as a channel for notifications. It is configured under Config > WhatsApp, on a page titled WhatsApp Integration with three tabs: Status & Test, Inbox and Templates.

Connecting your account

This is a credential-based connection through Meta — there is no QR code to scan. On Status & Test, click Configure and enter your Phone Number ID, Business Account ID and Access Token (all found in the Meta Developer Portal), then Save Credentials. The card shows WhatsApp Connected when it's live. This page also provides your Webhook URL and Verify Token to paste into Meta, and a Send Test Message tool to confirm delivery.

The inbox

The Inbox tab is a two-pane live chat: conversations grouped by phone number on the left, the message thread on the right with delivery ticks for sent, delivered and read. When a number matches a customer you get a View Customer link, and you can reply straight from the thread. It refreshes automatically.

Note: WhatsApp's 24-hour policy only lets you send free-form text to numbers that messaged you in the last 24 hours. For first contact or outside that window you must use an approved template message.

Templates

The Templates tab is where you create message templates, then Submit to Meta for approval and Sync status to pull the latest state — templates show as Approved, Pending, Rejected or Draft. Only approved templates become selectable when composing notifications. A Template ID Reference table lists the billing and service message types you can build templates for.

Per-company ownership

WhatsApp is multi-tenant. The same page appears in the reseller portal, and each reseller uses their own WhatsApp Business account — a reseller's customers are messaged from the reseller's number, and your direct customers from yours, with no fallback between them. In the CRM, editing WhatsApp credentials is limited to superadmins; other staff are asked to contact their superadmin.
