PON Capacity
The PON Capacity page shows how full each PON port is — the ONUs provisioned on it against the planned maximum — plus the spare upstream and downstream bandwidth. It sorts the most at-risk ports to the top so you can see where you need to add capacity before a port runs out. It respects your OLT access, so you only see the ports on OLTs you are permitted to work on.
The summary badges
Across the top, badges show the totals for your visible ports: the number of PON ports, total ONUs, how many are online and offline, the average fill, and how many ports are over the oversubscription threshold. When you have more than one OLT, a card per OLT summarises its ONU count, port count, average fill and any oversubscribed ports.
The capacity table
Each row is one GPON or EPON port, with columns for OLT, Board, Port, PON Name, Type, ONUs, Max, Fill, Free Bandwidth and Status:
- ONUs / Max: the provisioned ONU count against the planned maximum per port. The ONU count is broken down into online and offline.
- Fill: a bar showing how full the port is, split into online (green) and offline (red) ONUs, with the fill percentage alongside.
- Free Bandwidth: the spare upstream capacity (live, from the OLT's DBA headroom) and an estimated downstream figure, each with its own bar and a Gbps value.
- Status: OK, Oversubscribed (at or above the warning threshold) or Full (at 100%).
The fill percentage is simply the provisioned ONUs divided by the planned maximum per PON port.
What counts as full
Two settings drive the colours and status: the planned max ONUs per PON port and the oversubscription warning percentage. A port that reaches the warning percentage is flagged Oversubscribed, and a port at 100% is flagged Full. You can tune both under NMS settings → Alarm & Monitoring Thresholds, and the page updates immediately.
