Import & export

The Import/Export tools let you move data in and out of the CRM in bulk instead of one record at a time. Use them to load an existing customer base, seed plans and tariffs, pull data out for analysis, or migrate wholesale from another platform. They live under Administration > Import/Export.

Where to find it

Open Administration and choose Import/Export. The page has four tabs: Import Data, Export Data, Import from UISP and Import from Splynx. The first two work with your own CSV files; the last two are guided migrations from other billing systems.

Importing from CSV

On the Import Data tab, pick the data type to load. The CRM imports, in dependency order: Locations, Partners, Tax Rates, NAS Devices, IP Pools, Tariff Plans, Tariff Extra Items, Customers, Customer Services, Invoices, Invoice Line Items and Payments — so import the building blocks before the records that reference them. Set the Delimiter (comma, semicolon, tab or pipe), tell it whether the first row contains headers, and upload the file. A Conflict Resolution setting decides what happens when a record already exists: skip, overwrite, or create with a new ID. After the run you get a count of imported, updated, skipped and errored rows.

Tip: large files run as a background job with a progress bar. Check Import History to track a job and download a per-row error report if any rows fail validation.

Exporting data

The Export Data tab mirrors the import list. Multi-select the data types you want, choose a delimiter and header option, and press Download. Each type is written to its own CSV — customers.csv, invoices.csv, payments.csv and so on — ready for spreadsheets, accounting or re-import.

Migrating from UISP or Splynx

If you're moving from another platform, the Import from UISP and Import from Splynx tabs bring records across in bulk. UISP migration covers Tax Rates, Customers, Services, Invoices and Payments; Splynx additionally handles Locations, Partners, NAS/Routers, IPv4 Networks, Internet Tariffs and Tickets. Run these once during onboarding, then manage everything natively in the CRM. Voice call records have their own Import CDR tool under Voice.
