Autofind ONUs
The Autofind page lists every ONU that is connected to one of your OLTs but not yet configured — the devices waiting to be provisioned. From here you authorize them onto the network, either one at a time or in bulk using provisioning templates. This is the NMS reference for the autofind list; the full authorize form is covered in Adding ONUs.
The discovered ONUs list
The page discovers unconfigured ONUs live from your OLTs and shows them in a table with the columns OLT, PON Type (GPON or EPON), Board, Port, PON Description, SN (serial number), Type (the ONU model detected from the OLT) and Authorize. Unreachable OLTs are skipped, and while the OLTs are being polled the page shows a Waiting for OLT… loader. The list aggregates discovered ONUs across all the OLTs you have access to.
Authorizing a single ONU
Each row has an Actions dropdown:
- Add/Authorize: shown for a newly discovered ONU. It opens the Add/Authorize form with the OLT, PON type, slot, port, serial and MAC pre-filled; you choose the ONU type, VLANs, speeds and other details, then click Add/Authorize ONU. See Adding ONUs for the full form.
- Move: shown instead when the discovered serial already exists in the NMS — meaning the ONU has been physically moved to a different port. It opens a Move ONU dialog that confirms the old and new location and re-registers the ONU there.
Bulk authorizing with templates
To provision many ONUs at once, tick the ONUs you want and a bar appears reading n selected — choose a template per OLT. Pick a provisioning template for each OLT represented in your selection, then click Authorize selected. The NMS applies the template's settings (VLANs, TR069 profile, speeds, ONU type and bridging/routing) to each ONU in turn and reloads the list so authorized ONUs drop off. If a template's ONU type is set to auto-detect, each ONU's detected model is matched to an ONU type, falling back to Generic.
Provisioning templates are created per OLT on the OLT page. If an OLT has no template, the bar tells you so and links you to create one.
Enabling autofind
Autofind is switched on per OLT, not from this page. On the OLT page open the PON Ports tab and click Enable Autofind to turn it on for all PON ports (see the PON ports section of OLT settings). Once enabled, ONUs plugged into those ports appear here automatically.
